Accounts Assistant

York, North Yorkshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance team as a full-time Assistant Accountant at our Head Office in York

The role:

  • Producing daily and monthly sales invoices and posting on to the Sage 200 system;
  • Credit control – producing debtor reports, liaising with customers and department managers, handling remittance advices and reconciling receipts;
  • Reviewing bank statements and posting daily transactions;
  • Performing analysis tasks in Excel for use with weekly and monthly sales ledger and purchase ledger processes;
  • Assisting with purchase ledger where required;
  • Ad hoc duties and provide general support to the finance team.

About You:

  • A self-starter with drive and enthusiasm;
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and simple formulas);
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
  • Working knowledge of Sage 200 is desirable;
  • A good communicator who can work well with various stakeholders;
  • A team worker.
