Auctions Highlights 2016

This year, Hunters Auctions have seen a wide range of property sold successfully via the Auction method. From million pound apartment complexes to a single garage, we can enter a huge range of property into Auction with fantastic results.

Highlights from this year include a fire damaged property in Ilkley which had a guide price of £250,000 - £275,000. The final sale price at the drop of the gavel was £420,000 which was over 70% higher than the guide price.

At the height of the Brexit campaign, we offered for sale a 17 apartment block in York, which required some work. With a guide price of around £700,000 and with such uncertainty surrounding the Brexit result, we were concerned that investors would hold back. There was strong interest on the night with a sale agreed at £750,000.

Finally, a single garage in the highly sought after area of Fulford, York was offered with a guide price of £15,000 - £20,000. After a high level of interest, a local property owner bought it at Auction for £35,500 to park his car in.

This shows that property, regardless of what it is, can sell at Auction for the best price and provide security for both the buyer and the seller. We are now taking entries for our event to be held on 25th January 2017. Contact us now if you would like further information or advice. We offer free market appraisals and are more than happy to assist.
