February Auction Results
15th March 2017 posted in Hunters News
Our February Auction was very busy with a room full of people ready to make their bids.
We had some fantastic sale highlights on the night. A plot of land with planning permission in the popular Dringhouses area of York was offered with a guide price of £50,000 - £55,000. The bidding circulated around the room a few times before settling at a very respectable £79,500.
A quaint little cottage in the sought after village of Addingham was offered for sale with a guide price of £120,000 - £140,000. The property was popular leading up to the sale with a good number of enquiries and viewings. Determined bidders battled for the property and the gavel finally dropped at £160,000.
The final lot of the night was a two bedroomed, end of terrace house, located in Newborough Street, York. The property required some work as an extension had been started by the owners and required completion. Offered at a guide of £90,000 - £100,000, we had around 50 people viewing over the weeks leading up to the event. On the night the gavel dropped at £139,000. The vendor was very pleased with the result and now has a guaranteed timescale for their future plans.
Our next Auction will be held on 29th March 2017 at York Racecourse at 6pm. The details of our current entries are available on our website www.hunters.com/auctions.
