With the stamp duty holiday encouraging people to consider their options in the property market, it is no surprise to learn many people are active in the property market right now. Also, with a deadline for savings, people want to conclude their deal as quickly as possible.

One of the most important steps you can take when selling your home is to place a realistic valuation on it. With a realistic valuation, you will enter the market with greater confidence, and you should enhance your chances of connecting with a likely buyer.

We help you make your next property move

Also, when you have a realistic budget in place, you can create a more realistic budget for your next property move. This is a vital step, and one which will speed up your property moves without compromising on the quality of your home.

At Hunters Camberwell, we not only consider the local market, we stay in touch with the latest research and information. There is information presented by Dataloft and Zoopla which highlights homes are moving faster right now.

There is significant buyer demand in the UK housing market right now

Of late, the time it takes to sell a home in the United Kingdom has reduced by more than a quarter. When you consider the level of buyer demand in the current market, this shouldn’t be a surprise. The level of buyer demand right now is 34% higher than the same period in 2019.

There has been a reduction in the number of days spanning marketing the property to receiving an offer. On average, since lockdown was lifted, this takes 27 days. This is 31% lower than the same period in 2019.

Of all the property types on sale in the UK right now, it looks as though three-bedroom homes are in great demand. On average, this style of home sells in 24 days while one-bedroom flats sell in 34 days. This is the longest time to sell a property in the UK right now.

One of the key reasons why the time it takes to sell property has decreased is down to the shortage of homes in the market. While many homeowners are looking to sell their current home and move on, the demand is far outstripping the supply of homes.

This can be seen with four and five-bedroom properties selling 16 days faster, which is the largest decrease seen.
