Hunters, one of the country’s leading estate agencies with over 200 branches nationwide, has announced its expansion in the West Midlands with the acquisition of a lettings book in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and the appointment of two new staff members.

The Hunters Lichfield branch has acquired a 279 fully managed lettings book from C Lettings in Rugeley; C Residential continues its sales business as normal. This brings the Hunters West Midlands lettings portfolio to over 850 properties. The acquisition is part of a financial support scheme from the AIM listed Hunters, which has already seen 13 deals take place across the country including two in the West Midlands - in Harborne and Redditch.

In addition to the Lichfield acquisition, the Hunters West Midlands arm has announced the appointment of two new staff. Nicola Clegg and Francesca Foster will join the lettings team in order to assist the group’s continued expansion drive in the region, which includes helping to identify new rental opportunities for the Hunters branches there. It comes off the back of a strong 2018 for Hunters, which included the launch of a new branch in Burntwood to add to the group’s strong presence in the West Midlands with branches in Solihull, Handsworth, Harborne, Sutton Coldfield, Knowle, Tamworth, Redditch, Sedgley and Stourbridge.

Rebecca Clarke, Director of Lettings West Midlands, Hunters, comments:
“We are thrilled about this acquisition and look forward to working with our new Landlords and tenants. This opportunity strengthens the lettings offering through our Lichfield branch and the Hunters network more widely, extending our strong regional presence. At Hunters we are specialists in what we do and we look forward to welcoming more landlords and customers on board in 2019 who will receive the first class service that Hunters has become renowned for over the years.”

“We are also excited to welcome Nicola and Francesca on board who bring a wealth of experience to the team and will form a crucial part of our continued growth in the year ahead.”
