Hunters Estate Agents partner with The Principle Trust Children’s Charity

Hunters “For Sale” boards, from today, will have a brand-new design that you’ll notice in and around Ilkley, Otley and Skipton. The branches in those areas are now sponsoring the fantastic Principle Trust Children’s Charity and our new boards represent this community relationship we are proud to support. Every sponsored board you see equates to a £10 donation made direct to the Skipton based children’s charity.

Mike Davies, Founder and Chairman of the Charity said:
“The Trustees and I are extremely grateful to both Lester Hurst and Andrew Procter of Hunters for agreeing to create this terrific partnership. We believe that customers of Hunters will realise that they are much more than Estate Agents and work positively and financially through their sponsorship and help to a children’s charity. They will also create greater awareness of the Charity by the advertising, which will appear on the Hunters boards, and from information leaflets available in the Hunters Offices.Hunters will certainly be helping and assisting the local community, and even more children who are less fortunate, underprivileged, disadvantaged or disabled will be able to enjoy a much-needed break or holiday.”
Franchise Partner in Ilkley and Otley, Lester Hurst, says:
“Hunters has a longstanding reputation as a business that supports local communities. With most branches being locally owned, we proactively support charities, community groups and sports teams up and down the country. Our brand values include promoting a culture that is based on ethical values and behaviours, and it’s relationships like this that make our jobs really worthwhile.”
Andrew Procter, Franchise Partner in Skipton, is also proud to be supporting the charity:
“Hunters has over 200 offices across the country all of which are committed to supporting the local community in which they operate. Our new relationship with The Principle Trust Children’s Charity means we can support disadvantaged children across North and West Yorkshire and bring awareness to the area about the work the charity does."
About the trust
The Principle Trust Children’s Charity support local underprivileged, disadvantaged and disabled children by providing free holidays in their holiday homes based in the Haven Holiday Resort, at Marton Mere in Blackpool and at Ribblesdale Park, Gisburn. Both holidays offer something different to the children whom benefit from the holidays. As we all know Blackpool is a lively place to go, where children and their families or carers can go and enjoy the seaside and all the activities that Haven provide. The Log Cabin at Ribblesdale Park provides a more serine respite break for those children who maybe dealing with life long, limiting or threatening illnesses and are unable to enjoy the bright lights of Blackpool.
The cost of running these holiday homes is around £44,000 per year and the holidays are offered to children for free by The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, through organisations such as NYCC Social Services, Embrace Child Victims of Crime, Forget Me Not Hospice, Brooklands Community Special School, Foster4Leeds and many more.

Since the charity was founded in 2011, over 2200 children have benefitted from a holiday that they may not otherwise have had. The running and operating costs of these holiday homes are raised from several sources including charity events, fundraising activities, company sponsorship, personal donations, rotary, round table, masons and many other funding organisations. Hunters Estate Agents, and their help and generosity will provide not only funds towards children having holidays but also will help create awareness of the charity.
