At Hunters Hornchurch, we work closely with vendors and buyers. This ensures we make an informed decision in the property market.
We also stay in touch with the latest studies, and this helps us deliver the best standard of service to you.
Dataloft have analysed the 2020 Property Academy Home Moving Trends Survey, and some of the findings will be of interest to anyone dealing with the property market.
Floor plans are hugely important
One thing we agree with at Hunters Hornchurch is that floor plans are exceptionally important in the property market. There is useful information contained that allows buyers to make an informed and practical decision on whether to make an offer on a property.
75% of buyers who responded to the survey said a “floor plan was very important information when searching for a property”.
Therefore, if you are selling your home, you need to provide this service, and this is something we take care of for you.
Photographs make a massive difference
There is no denying photographs play a crucial role in the property market. Prospective buyers are drawn to fantastic images, and without high quality pictures, it is unlikely a property will draw a lot of attention.
We know this, and we offer a high standard of photography services to our clients. It is true the lockdown period has posed fresh challenges in presenting and capturing property in the best manner, but given the importance of photos, you can rest assured we support you on these matters.
55% of prospective buyers mentioned the quality of photographs in the survey while 50% of respondents said the number of photographs was crucial too.
Descriptions have to be effective
When it comes to catching attention, images work, but when it comes to making people develop a strong interest, the description is crucial.
A well-crafted description not only boosts your property’s chance of being found, it also enhances your chances of connecting with the right buyer. A great description lists all the relevant features of your property, and does so in a way that excites a prospective buyer.
It shouldn’t be a surprise to learn 52% of respondents felt that the description was vital during a property search.
EPC is a crucial factor
If you sell your home, you need to have an Energy Performance Certificate. We can help you arrange this, and this is something we will ensure you have at your disposal.
However, according to the survey, not all buyers view the presence of the EPC as crucial. It turns out that 31% of respondents over 65 said an EPC was “very important” but only 20% of respondents under the age of 35 said the same thing.
