SAFEagent Awareness Week
8th May 2017 posted in Hunters News Landlords Tenants
SAFEagent Awareness Week takes place from 15th – 19th May 2017 and is a week of activity both online and offline to raise customer awareness of the importance of using a letting agent who is part of a Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme and letting consumers know where they can find a registered SAFEagent. At Hunters, we support this and the majority of our offices are SAFEagents.
The Mark of Trust
Look out for the SAFEagent logo - Letting agents displaying the SAFEagent logo are part of a voluntary CMP scheme which ensures that they are protecting their client’s monies.
SAFEagent recognises CMP schemes operated by the following regulatory organisations: ARLA/NAEA, NALS, RICS and UKALA.
The SAFEagent campaign:
- Protects your money, giving you peace of mind
- Recognised by Government, consumer and industry organisations
- A campaign devised by letting agents for the benefit of landlords and tenants
Landlords and Tenants
SAFE (Safe Agent Fully Endorsed) is a mark which denotes that your lettings and management agent is part of a CMP scheme which protects landlords and tenants money in the event that anything should happen to it.
· We want to demonstrate to consumers that our firm cares about the levels of customer service that we offer
Around 75% of the Hunters Network are now members and this is a real accolade for us as it shows the public that we take our responsibilities seriously when it comes to lettings and being the best.
All SAFEagents maintain and operate separate designated client accounts where your money is held completely separate from the operating funds of the firm. Ask your agent if they are part of a CMP scheme or not. They must display this information in their office and on their website.
