Welcome to Hunters Estate Agents and Letting Agents Bungay
We are an independent Sales & Lettings Estate Agent located in Bungay. Forming part of a nine branch network across Norfolk and Suffolk, we work alongside over 170 offices across the country. Opening in 2009, our office traded successfully as Kudos Residential for many years, before joining the Hunters network, in 2015 to provide our clients nationwide marketing, coupled with our extensive local knowledge – whilst remaining locally owned. Our team headed by Brian Hutchinson has been a market leading estate agency across NR35, and have embraced change, whilst challenging tradition to offer an exceptional service which is unparalleled in the market place.
Our business has grown to become Norfolk’s largest independent Estate Agency covering Norwich and the surrounding villages, across to the East Coast. Through the opening of new offices, and the acquisition of other local Estate Agents we have become known for offering quality and comprehensive marketing, whilst offering a high level of service to our clients at all times.
We are known in Bungay for marketing a variety of properties, ranging from £60,000 to, and in excess of £1 million in many local villages. Our experience enables us to proactively market our properties which have included family homes, character cottages and country retreats. Our database of over 2000 buyers enables our skilled negotiators to perfectly match our properties and buyers, enabling our office to agree sales with the least amount of inconvenience, and in the quickest possible time.
Our experience in letting properties in NR35 has allowed us to successfully let a variety of properties on both a long term and short term basis. Our landlords range from buyers seeking their first time investment, to experienced landlords with extensive portfolios. Properties let in Bungay and the surrounding area very quickly, and for this reason we have an extensive list of tenants, and would urge you to join this if you are house hunting. We offer free no obligation valuations to discuss these, and offer discounts for portfolios.

If you are considering buying or renting a property in Bungay, you are choosing one of the most attractive locations in the Waveney Valley. With its wealth of historic sites and beautiful views over the distant water meadows that are often flooded in the Winter months, the town really has a distinctive character.
Only 20 miles from Norwich, one of England’s finest cities, and a mere 15 miles from the beautiful coastal town of Southwold, Bungay is well placed for most, whether it be business or leisure. The town and surrounding areas attract a host of visitors in the holiday season with the entrance to the Norfolk Broads a few miles away. Patrons explore the old Norman Castle, the Roman Well and the Saxon Church, and there are a number of watering holes and chic restaurants in the town center for when the legs get weary.
The local residents enjoy a number of sports clubs, specifically the local football club with its new pavilion and hosts of the cricket team and tennis club. Big emphasis on the younger residents is always on display, with numerous under 16 boys and girls football teams regularly in action. There is the Black Dog running club who organize the annual Bungay Marathon attracting runners from afar, and the well supported bowls club at the other end of town. Bungay & Waveney Valley Golf club lies to the outskirts of the town and is a challenging par 69 with both tree lined fairways and open heathland holes. Established in 1889, the course has the added advantage of being playable year round due to the natural sandy soil and excellent drainage. It also has a wonderful clubhouse available for private functions.
For those who prefer a little more culture, The Fisher Theatre on Broad Street has gone from strength to strength in recent years, thanks to the effort of Jason Collins the Theatre Director and his superb staff. Run these days as a charitable organization, the Fisher is one of the oldest provincial theatres in the country and was brought back to its original use in 2006 when it was re-opened. It is difficult now to imagine life in the area without the vibrant Fisher theatre. It’s at the heart of the community, providing an unusually broad programme of arts events, and has won a number of awards. The high-tech design features impress audience and performers alike, and yet the Georgian heritage is preserved and cherished.
Bungay properties range from 1 bedroom flats to well established rural properties with large acreage. The surrounding hamlets and villages sport a number of beautiful period properties of varying different ages and size. All of these properties are all viewable to view on our site with the more rural properties to be found on the Hunters Exclusive section.
