  • Why Choose Mullucks Saffron Walden?

Promote your property to a wide market

We advertise your property on the most popular listing sites in the country, such as Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket. We know where prospective buyers and tenants are looking and ensure your home will be easy to find.

As Mullucks Saffron Walden is part of a national network, we can help you broaden your scope of potential buyers and find house hunters in other areas of the country who are considering a move to the region.

Straightforward guidance for landlords

Regulations are constantly changing for landlords, which can make managing lettings stressful.
This is why we work closely with landlords to make sure they are notified of any legal changes in the industry well in advance and are fully compliant.

Our in-house experts have years of experience working with both new landlords and those with more experience, so they are perfectly placed to address any day-to-day issues that occur.

Guidance from those who know the area best

No two areas are the same and our Saffron Walden office is full of local experts who know every corner of the town, meaning they are best placed to match you with the right property.

Our team is experienced at working with newcomers to the area as well as those who have lived here for years.

Whether you are looking for a new tenant for a one-bedroom flat, or wish to purchase a five-bedroom home, our goal is to truly understand your circumstances and find exactly what you are looking for.

Customer service tailored to your needs

We are determined to provide a friendly and personal service to all customers across our sales and lettings teams.

Everyone is different and we strive to ensure a service that meets the individual needs of each and every one of our customers.

Payment due only after confirmed sale or let

We understand how frustrating it can be when agent fees build up without a deal being finalised, which is why payment is only due once your property has been sold or let.

By following this policy, we always remain determined to find the best buyer or tenant for your requirements.

Local area guide

Saffron Walden has a rich heritage of old buildings and it is a pleasure to wander around the ancient streets and market square which is dominated by the library building, formerly the Corn Exchange, with its clock tower and weather vane and the lovely 18th Century Town Hall. A twice weekly market is held here with a great selection of stalls to complement the town’s appealing range of independent shops, including many boutiques and gift/interiors shops, and restaurants.

Saffron Walden has always been very popular with families due to the exceptional primary and secondary schools. The recreational, social and sporting facilities in the town are excellent and it also plays host to a prestigious bi-annual literary festival. In 2013, the award winning Saffron Hall was opened within the grounds of Saffron Walden County High School bringing a world class 730-seat performance space to the town.

English Heritage owned Audley End House, a stunning Jacobean mansion house set in extensive grounds, is a lovely place to visit and a range of family events are held throughout the year. The miniature railway is a great attraction for young children as is the award winning family friendly  town Museum which sits beside the ruins of the twelfth-century Walden Castle.

Other attractions include the town’s fine parish church, which is the largest non-cathedral church in Essex and two mazes, one of which is an ancient turf maze (labyrinth) on the Common and the other within the beautiful Bridge End Gardens.

The area surrounding the town is rural with many picture postcard villages, but it still offers easy access to the M11 and Stansted Airport with its increasing number of European and long haul destination. The mainline railway station at nearby Audley End has regular trains to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge so it is an ideal location for the commuter.
