Bingley is famous for the Five Rise Locks, a place of interest in the waterways canals. It is between the industrial town of Keighley and the City of Bradford. The town has several pubs one being the Brown Cow at the far end of Bingley main street over the old pack horse bridge.

It is also a short distance to the famous “Cottingley Fairies”.

Bingley has a local market weekly. The main event for Bingley is once a year in August the very popular “ Bingley music live” festival with top bands playing over the weekend. Music lovers come from all over the country to see the event.

Popular places are the surrounding villages including Eldwick, Gilstead, Wilsden, Harden and East Morton , which are always good for rental property areas and also always preferred for buyers. Investment has been very popular for apartments in 2006 to 2008..however the investment trend does seem to be for the terraced properties.

Bingley is a very much sought after location due to its locality with Leeds and Bradford only 20 minutes by rail from the town centre. It has a wealth of good local primary and secondary schools along with plenty sports facilities and clubs. The local Myrtle park and St Ives woods offer outside leisure for walks, golf, bowls & tennis. A local swimming pool with gym is easy accessed in central Bingley.
