Dewsbury and Surrounding Areas

Dewsbury is a Market Town and is famous for it’s Indoor and outdoor Markets. Landmark Buildings in Dewsbury are the Town Hall, Pioneer House, Empire House. Dewsbury is surrounded by other towns such as Batley, Heckmondwike, Birstall, Mirfield, Huddersfield and Wakefield and lies in between the Cities of Bradford and Leeds.

There are a large number of investment flats that are located in close proximity to the Town which produce a good rental yield. Dewsbury and the surrounding villages have great opportunities for first time buyers and those looking to get on the Property Ladder. There also character houses within affluent areas.

Dewsbury is located very centrally and all the major supermarkets are located within 1 mile of the centre including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury, Morrisons. White Rose Shopping Centre is located approximately 4 miles away and Leeds City Centre is 9 miles away (a 10 minute train journey direct trains run from Dewsbury to Leeds. There is also a good Transport network with direct trains to Manchester (40 minutes) York (40 Minutes) and good motorway links to the M62 and M1.

There are some excellent schools within Dewsbury and the surrounding areas which have brilliant Ofsted reports.

Interesting fact about Dewsbury... The Former Speaker of the House of Commons Baroness Betty Boothroy; is a famous Citizen of Dewsbury and Batley is also home to the famous Fox’s Biscuits!!
