Leicester Area Guide

The council designated Stoneygate a conservation area in 1978 and it remains an affluent area with a stunning combination of Victorian and Edwardian buildings. The neighbouring area of Clarendon Park is host to many events along Queens Road and the adjoining Victoria Park. If you enjoy immersing yourself in the community then this area with its high end town houses and neat Victorian terraces will have just what you are looking for.

Heading away from the city centre you find Oadby and Knighton where many families seek to move for the excellent schooling including Manor High School which is widely recognised as one of the best schools in the county.

Other beautiful areas on the fringes of the city include Aylestone, Evington, Thurnby, Bushby, Stoughton, Scraptoft, Humberstone, Hamilton and Great Glen; all with their own unique charms, and community feel.
