March Auction Results

Fri 07 Apr 2017

Hunters Auctions had a fantastic sale at York Racecourse on Wednesday 29th March, selling 83% of lots offered.

The Article 50 trigger may create some uncertainty but it was not evident in the Auction room.

Offered first, we had a fantastic investment property located in Sileby, Leicester, which has an income of almost £6,000 per annum. Three bidders made the trip to the Auction room in York, with a further two bidders on the telephone. The Auctioneer received a first bid of £60,000 and after going around the room a few times, the gavel dropped on £87,000.

Another investment lot offered, with a lucrative income of just under £38,000, was 6-8 Balrby Road in Selby. This property offers 8 rooms and 2 flats and is fully tenanted. Bidding commenced and after seeing the price going up and up, the Auctioneer announced a sale price of £232,000.

The major highlight of the night was Manor House Farm. This farmhouse offered up to 7 bedroomed accommodation and required modernisation. Situated in the sought after location of the Sutton on the Forest, the property was offered with a guide price of £400,000. The room was buzzing with excitement for this final lot and, after a lengthy bidding war, the property finally settled on a very respectable sale price of £503,000.

The next Hunters Property Auction is being held on 26th April and 31st May 2017. We are finalising entries for the April event and taking new entries for the May event. Should you have a property that you think may sell better by Auction, contact us for a free Auction Appraisal.
