With more than 145 lettings rules and regulations, which are not only changing all the time but which vary from one local authority to another, it’s no wonder Landlords (and some other Agents) are confused and can struggle to keep up with the law. It is even more challenging for Landlords who are letting out property in other parts of the country to where they live, for example if you’ve relocated for work, or a new relationship, and are renting out your former home.
