Hunters had another busy and successful Property Auction at York Racecourse on the 14th September. A range of different lots were offered and all of those sold on the night achieved fantastic prices.

Foxtons announced yesterday (27 June 2016) that they expect their results to drop below last year for the 2016 half year to June. Hunters by comparison is expecting quite the reverse as per the company's half year trading update of 1st June when they announced results for the first half year, expecting to be significantly ahead of the equivalent period last year.

From the 1st April 2018 there will be a requirement for any properties rented out in the private rented sector to normally have a minimum energy performance rating of E, on an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). New European Regulations now apply to the installations for raising and lowering blinds; and the movement of curtains across windows.
This means that new blinds and curtains being installed by a contractor will have fixed cords or ball bearing pulls to prevent any danger of asphyxiation to a young child; and a warning notice with the purchasing material.
