Hunters the Estate Agent began life with one branch in York in 1992. Our initial expansions across the region established our brand as a prominent and well-respected force throughout Leeds, Harrogate, York and Wetherby and we were recognised as true property experts within the ‘Golden Triangle. We expanded organically and had grown to 49 branches before we purchased the franchised branches of Countrywide’s Bairstow Eves in 2011; this added another 60 branches to the Hunters network and took our name into London for the first time.
We are delighted to have firmly made our mark on the UK landscape in only two decades – we spread as far south as Chichester, throughout city centres like Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Middlesbrough and Hull and now have over 30 branches throughout London and the south east. In fact, we are now the UK’s largest and fastest growing estate agency partnership with over 100 independently owned branches nationwide.
What lies behind the success? “The Hunters difference” affirms Kevin Hollinrake, Managing Director and Hunters founder.
Kevin is as passionate about the business today as he was when he opened the very first branch in 1992, and he indicates that much of this Hunters difference lies in the very infrastructure of our network.

Established as a successful mid-market agent, Hari’s branches are also steadily capturing more and more of the area’s upper end properties.
