Hunters operates one of the largest national sales and lettings estate agency businesses in the United Kingdom. Today we have over 200 branches nationwide and still growing.
Hunters was established by Kevin Hollinrake and John Waterhouse in 1992 on the firm principles of excellent customer service, unrivalled pro-activity and achieving the best possible results for our customers. Those values stand firm today.
We have traded under the Hunters brand since inception and have an ambitious, motivated team and a clear vision to grow the brand to become the UK’s favourite estate agent. By keeping the customer at the very heart of the business, and by expanding our network through organic growth and through acquisition, we are confident that this can be achieved.
Hunters has won over 30 awards, achieved Investor in People certification for over a decade and featured in the Sunday Times Best 100 company. This, alongside our strong reputation for good customer service, has helped to build the Group’s brand. We have successfully achieved a customer satisfaction rating of over 90% in each consecutive year since 2012 - a statistic we are proud of, share with our network and work hard to maintain and improve every day through training, support and investment in the business.
In 2019 Hunters featured in the acclaimed Channel 4 TV series When I Grow Up, which welcomed a group of 7-9 year olds to Hunters York and Harrogate offices to 'run the business' for a week. The children were mentored by our CEO Glynis Frew, National Sales Director Martin Robinson and York Valuer Vanessa Wilson during their week with Hunters. The programme received critial acclaim from the general public as well as stakeholders around the industry, depicting estate agency in a genuine and very positive light, contrary to how it can often be portrayed by the media. We were delighted to be involved in the project. You can read more here.
