No.1 The White Lion is a four storey town house positioned at the centre of the fine ancient market town of Hadleigh. Presented to the highest standard, this historic building has been stripped back and renovated using only the best in traditional skills and authentic materials. The house was then reinstated with new utility apparatus and systems and finished with a fusion of classic and funky high grade fixtures and fittings.
The extra wide entrance door takes you straight into the open plan living room. Here there are
areas for sitting, dining and a kitchen with an island. The room has oak floor, beams, exposed red brick, large inglenook fire place with inset stove, doors out to garden, hatch with paddle stair case down to the basement and oak staircase up to the first floor. The basement is ideal as a utility room with a brick floor and window. On the first floor, the oak flooring continues onto the landing with latch doors into two bedrooms, shower room and door to stairs to the second floor. The larger bedroom has a large sash window to the front, built in wardrobe space and french doors onto a galleried balcony looking into the glass atrium covered courtyard of The White Lion building. Bedroom two has some interesting period features and two windows. The paddle stair case to the second floor takes you straight into the charming vaulted beamed room with window to the front. It is intended that this room becomes a bedroom suite with open plan bathroom.
Outside, there is a cartlodge to the side of the house and a small garden area with granite cobble stones.
