Harrow on the hill is a village with lots of history, leafy streets and quaint shops. It has a true village feel whilst being within easy reach of London.
There are two London Underground stations; Harrow on the Hill (which is on the Metropolitan line) and South Harrow (which is on the Piccadilly line). This provides easy and quick access to central London whether travelling for work or pleasure. There are great bus services in and out of the area, and as the M1’s just a few miles away, travelling further afield by car is a great option too.
Harrow has charming independent shops including clothing stores, book stores and gift shops. There are shopping centres here too, which have many of the well-known high street shopping brands, meaning everything is within easy reach for locals.
Enjoy afternoon tea in one of the gorgeous local cafes, or go for a pint with friends in one of the traditional pubs. There’s plenty on offer when going out for food and drink, including some high-quality restaurants serving Italian food, Spanish tapas and much more.
St Mary’s church is a well-known Harrow landmark; it’s an impressive medieval building that’s Grade I listed.

There is parking for 20 minutes free outside the office and if required you can park in Tescos for 2 hours free. We are 7 minutes walk away from Harrow on the Hill Station, 15 minutes walk from Harrow and Wealdstone Station. Local buses that stop outside the office are 140, 182, 240, 258 & 186.

Harrow on the Hill is an historic village in Greater London, and it sits on the site of a hamlet that dates back to the 7th century. Harrow has a lovely, relaxed village feel, but it’s within easy reach of the excitement and opportunities of London.

Harrow is probably best known for Harrow School, a prestigious boys' public school that’s said to be the best in the country. Whitmore High School was also rated outstanding by Ofsted.
Harrow has some gorgeous shopping streets that add to the village feel of the area. There are some lovely shop fronts and great independent stores like The Outfitters (uniform shop), Harrow School Hill Shop (bookshop) and Retouch Lighting. There are also shopping centres like St Ann’s, which have high street brands such as Next, Boots and Marks & Spencer.
When meeting with friends for coffee or lunch, you can choose from a great selection of unique, local cafes. Coco Corner Café is a beautiful place to enjoy breakfast, brunch or a stunning dessert, or enjoy afternoon tea at The Doll House on the Hill.
The area has some proper old fashioned pubs to enjoy too. Visit The Castle, a traditional Victorian pub that still has a lot of the original fittings, like lamps and wall clocks, and welcoming roaring fires and wooden floors. Harrow has great restaurants, such as Grove on the Hill, a popular Italian, or Eighty Six Restaurant & Bar, which serves Spanish food and tapas.
Healthcare is good here with a local hospital, GP services and pharmacies.
St Mary’s is a medieval and Grade I listed church, and it’s Harrow’s most famous landmark. This impressive building is now over 900 years old.
Harrow on the Hill has a huge amount of green space to make the most of, which is quite rare being so close to London. Harrow Recreation Park is great for families, with its play area, café, football, and cricket grounds.
