Having worked for a large corporate estate agency for six years I decided to set up my own estate agency back in 2011 with Hunters. To open up with one other member of staff with no houses to sell was the most stressful thing I have ever done! I soon found that running my own estate agency was very different to working for someone else. I remember after the first couple of months we, unfortunately, had a sale fall through and it hit me like a truck! Lying awake at night, not being able to think about anything else, wondering what I could do to put the deal back together – I found red wine helped me tremendously!
Since then, we have grown significantly and I’m pleased to say I am sleeping much better! In our first year we were the fastest growing branch in the UK and we are now consistently one of the top performing branches in the entire network. My team has grown significantly and bring with them a wealth of experience and the hunger to continue being the top agent in the area. I married my wife Helen having met at my old employer. Helen and I have two young children, Harry and Florence and in my free time I love cooking (particularly Thai food) and I’m a keen fan of formula one.
