Local independent estate agent, Hunters Property Group from York has brought home a number of new ideas for customer service after attending the prestigious Home Sale Network Annual Conference and Exhibition. Joined by fellow agents and business experts the event was held this year at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, London on 12 November.

Back by popular demand for a second year, the Conference was hosted by Channel Five News Presenter, Matt Barbet and featured expert keynote speakers including The Sunday Times Economics Editor, David Smith and Marcus Child, a regular speaker on conference platforms, addressing CEOs, politicians and sports people with his motivational addresses. The events five workstream classes focused on the impact of the current and future mortgage market, customer service, the latest online trends for estate agency and business development.

The Conference in its 17th year - culminated in a glittering black tie Awards Dinner hosted by Hugh Dennis, star of the BAFTA winning BBC sitcom, Outnumbered and team captain on the popular BBC panel show, Mock the Week.

Overall 13 awards were presented at the event, including the most coveted award, the Cartus Cup, won by North Tynesides Cooke & Co. and the award that can only be won by past Cartus Cup winners, the Masters Cup, was awarded to Hexham and Tyne Valleys Northumbria & Cumbria.

The evening also played host to a charity raffle and auction in aid of The Kwagala Trust. This worthy UK charity works with the African community to provide loving homes for abandoned, orphaned or deprived children allowing them to live fulfilled, productive and sufficient lives.

Richard Tucker commented: As a national network of independent estate agents, the Home Sale Network Annual Conference is a fantastic opportunity for our members to learn from each other and industry experts on how to improve and grow their businesses. The evening Awards Dinner is a great way to end both the Conference and the year, by celebrating all of the Networks successes in 2010.
