As featured in the Guardian

At Hunters we're delighted and proud to represent properties of all types and sizes. Across the nation we have an incredible array of homes available to buy or rent, and whilst we'll never declare 'this is our favourite property' we are thrilled when any of the properties we represent garner national news coverage. The two homes we're looking at today have both recently been featured in The Guardian because of their exceptional beauty and unique offerings. Though both homes have now been sold, we feel like shouting about them one more time; we think you'll see why.
First up is a modern property in Scarborough which welcomes floods of natural light and endless sea views. With 4 bedrooms spread over the two storeys and a balastruded terrace on the top floor, this is an incredible home which allows you to absorb the grandeur of the surrounding landscape, without being subjected to the fresh sea breezes.
Set on approximately a half acre plot, this award-winning designed property was completed in 2010, providing 4000 feet of accommodation. Between the open plan kitchen and dining room, dedicated cinema room, games room and four spacious bedrooms, this home is luxury encapsulated in four walls. From the road, you can only see the discreet slate roofing, but as you approach, the true majesty of the property is slowly revealed to you. The house is built into the slope of land it sits upon and is supported by a steel frame and concrete raft foundation, and having been custom design it truly was the seller's dream house – and it's easy to see why.
From the double height ceiling in the living room with floor to ceiling windows (that's a whopping 6 metres) to the long skylight across the top floor, this property was created to make the very most of the natural light available. After this, every whim and desire is met, with a garden room, feature concrete fire place in the living room and dedicated guest suite. If all of the above isn't enough, then delight in the knowledge that this home was designed to neatly store all of your odds and ends with multiple storage and utility rooms which helps to keep your life organised. With every practicality taken care of, you can sit back, relax and enjoy the views around you.
Second, we have another Northern Yorkshire gem, a fabulous converted farmhouse which looks out on its own land and orchard. Perched between Skipton and Clitheroe this home is surrounded by an immaculate rural landscape. To reach this spectacular home involves going down a half-mile limestone track which also serves 5 other homes, but when you reach the home, the drive or walk becomes well worth it. The original wooden beams not only hold up the ceiling, but also imbue the home with a character that money just can't buy. The well maintained property offers you the chance to live in a charmingly traditional home without ever compromising on modern luxuries. With fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms, this home is designed with every convenience in mind.
If all of this wasn't enough, the 5 bedroomed property is accompanied by a stunning 1 bedroomed cottage which is perfect as an annexed home for a dependant relative, guest house, or holiday cottage (subject to any necessary planning permissions). Finally, there is the accompanying out-building which is ready for conversion at a moment's notice (again, subject to permissions). So whilst the property is ready to live in without any renovations, the true brilliance of this property lies in its undiscovered potential. We don't know what the latest buyers chose to do with the property, but we can imagine that it fits in perfectly with the existing rural aesthetic of the land.
