Hunters Acquires Country Properties

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Country Properties adding another 23 franchised branches to our network.

Sales and lettings agents Country Properties was founded in 1974 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Later, under Managing Director Ian Wilson, the company grew into a successful franchised operation, Country Properties Network, being the first estate agency network to be recognised by the British Franchise Association in 1984, establishing strongholds in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

The 23 Country Properties operations will continue to be managed by Ian Wilson.
In 2014 alone, the Hunters network grew by 37 new locations and the number of Hunters branches now stands at 157, another milestone in the firm’s objective to become the UK’s favourite estate agent.
