We sold our house through Hunters' Leighton Buzzard and Tring offices. The staff were friendly and very professional, and their online services up-to-date and effective. But what was exceptional was the negotiators' personal commitment, creativity and persistence when arrangements for the sale got difficult. They worked tirelessly to secure a successful outcome, and to minimise stress for us. We would recommend them unhesitatingly.Mr H, Leighton Buzzard

Leighton Buzzard is a vibrant and characterful, historic market town dating back to the 12th century, with a lively high street, friendly residents and a great community feel. With excellent links to Central London and Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard offers huge employment potential, whilst retaining its unique community feel. Leighton Buzzard and Linslade are a popular choice for families due to the excellent schools, proximity to the train station and the new link road to the M1 for commuting parents.
Leighton Buzzard is notable as the opening place for the Grand Union Canal, and infamous as the location of the Great Train Robbery, which took place just a mile outside the town centre. Among its landmarks are the All Saints Church, dating from 1277, and the unique 15th century market cross, located at the tip of the high street.
The town’s main park hosts music concerts on Sunday afternoons from June through to September. There is an annual Linslade Canal Festival at the end of July, attracting over 9000 visitors. A Leighton-Linslade carnival has been held annually for over 70 years and the local council has run the May Day Fayre for over 20 Years.
The area boasts a three-tier school system, with two local schools- Greenleas School and Pulford Church of England Lower School, achieving an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating. Notably, 11 other schools within the town are rated ‘good’.
Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Safari Park and Bletchley Park are all near to Leighton Buzzard, offering great family days out. Milton Keynes’ array of entertainment options are highly accessible thanks to the excellent transport links, including a direct train, the A4146 bypass and the A5. The local train station provides excellent links to both Birmingham and London; the fast train takes just over 30 minutes to reach Euston.
Kingswood National Nature Reserve (NNR) is on the outskirts of the town, which is also designated as a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Local Geology Site (LGS). The Nature Reserve includes woodland, heathland, grassland and wetland habitats totalling nearly 150 hectares, containing some of the rarest wildlife in the country.
