Tower Bridge is on the River Thames, in the borough of Tower Hamlets. It’s one of the most famous landmarks in London despite being just a little over 120 years old.
Transport links around London are great from Tower Bridge. Tower Hill, with the District and Circle lines, is the closest Underground station and is just seven minutes’ walk from Tower Bridge. However, London Bridge Underground station is only a short walk away too, and it’s served by the Northern and Jubilee lines.

The 12th century Tower of London is definitely worth a visit to learn about the prisoners that were held there. View the Crown Jewels of England while you’re there and enjoy the amazing architecture of the tower. HMS Belfast is a World War II warship and another London landmark to visit. Head up the 72 levels of The Shard to see stunning views across London.
Bridge Theatre opened in 2017 and is home to the London Theatre Company, but a little further along the Thames you’ll also find Shakespeare’s Globe, which has open-air productions of his plays.
