The area has good travel links for commuters as it’s just off the ring road, which connects it to Bristol city centre, as well as the M4 and the M32. Downend’s proximity to the city centre also means there are regular and reliable bus services too. Bristol Parkway train station is three miles away and Bristol Temple Meads is five miles away, both operating services around the UK.
Badminton Road has a great parade of local shops, with some excellent independent stores to choose from. There’s a bakery, florist, furniture store, gift shop, and more. There are good grocery shops in Downend, with larger supermarkets found nearby in Emerson Green and Fishponds.
