Scunthorpe is a town in North Lincolnshire.
It’s a great base for commuters. The train station has regular services to Doncaster (taking just 30 minutes) and there are hourly services to Manchester Piccadilly. Travelling by car is also an easy option as the motorway is nearby, making Doncaster, Leeds, Hull, Grimsby, and Lincoln all within easy reach. When you want to travel further afield, Humberside Airport is just 15 miles away and has international flights.
Scunthorpe has shopping centres right in the middle of town, providing lots of high street stores and cafes. There are also several retail parks just outside of Scunthorpe with big brand household names. The indoor market has many different stalls selling unique things, and there are some good independent shops in Scunthorpe too.
The town has a great selection of pubs and a range of restaurants serving different cuisines, so there’s plenty to choose from when heading out with friends or family.
Central Park is a great day out for the family with lots to do, including a playground, trampolines and more. The Pods leisure centre is a great local fitness facility with two pools and a gym. Normanby Hall Country Park is a lovely place to visit with its fantastic walks and farming museum.
