Wigston is approximately 5 miles south of Leicester city centre and is close to the Grand Union Canal which runs through Leicester. One of the attractions is the framework knitting museum near the centre of Wigston, which dates back to the 17th century linking in the textile industry in Leicestershire.
Wigston has great transport links to other regional areas. There is a train Station in South Wigston which links to the city centre, as well as further afield such as London, Birmingham, Peterborough and Nottingham. It is close to major routes such as the M1 and M69.The bus routes in Wigston are also good, linking the city centre & Fosse Park shopping outlet.
