Mortgage Advice

See what our customers say about Hunters Yeadon team:

We were selling our home and that of my In Laws. After getting the usual three valuations, we plumped for Hunters, asking them to sell both houses mainly because of their business model. As a franchise, their Franchisee has a vested interest in negotiating a successful sale, not least because its his/her business and living. David Metcalfe was very positive that he could sell both properties without delay. That he did, selling our house within two days and my In-Laws within a week. Both sales were to prove protracted and difficult for various reasons but David and his team were pro-active in their negotiations with others in the two chains, ensuring we were kept informed and acting in liaison with our solicitor to ensure exchange and completion. They are a breath of fresh air in a business which at times does not enjoy a good press. I am happy to recommend them.

Mr S, Yeadon

David Metcalfe sold my house quickly and offered essential advice during the sales process. He's down to earth, honest and professional. I highly recommend him and his team.

Mr G, Yeadon

Great no hassle service.

Mr S, Yeadon

We recently sold our lovely old 4 bed-roomed home, in order to downsize. Although our timing was right, it was still a very emotional move for us having lived in the house for 18 years, with our three girls growing up there, enjoying both the house and the garden. From the start Hunters understood our feelings; the team dealt with the whole process with sensitivity, professionalism and respect. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Ms S, Yeadon

We purchased through David and the team at Hunters Yeadon. They were professional and kept in touch regularly to advise us on the progress of our purchase. We found them incredibly helpful. Thank you

Mr M, Yeadon

Ms F, Yeadon

Excellent friendly and professional customer service, dedicated to helping sell our house to which we are very appreciative and grateful to Hunters for fulfilling our wishes and requirements. Would recommend Hunters to anybody looking to sell, they have ideas on marketing which are different from many other agents.

Mr B, Yeadon

By far the best agent around !!! Other local agents tried and failed to sell my house. Hunters sold it in quick time for a great price, service was excellent too. Highly recommended.

Miss P, Yeadon

We spoke to a number of agents before choosing Hunters, and we are delighted we made the right choice. They promised to get quality buyers through the door, and they kept that promise. They kept us informed at all stages of the process and we genuinely felt that they were on our side. Special thanks to Danny, who worked tirelessly on our behalf. I would recommend Hunters Yeadon to anyone who is looking for a professional and trustworthy property agent.

    David Metcalfe

    Franchise Owner

Having worked for a large corporate estate agency for six years I decided to set up my own estate agency back in 2011 with Hunters. To open up with one other member of staff with no houses to sell was the most stressful thing I have ever done! I soon found that running my own estate agency was very different to working for someone else. I remember after the first couple of months we, unfortunately, had a sale fall through and it hit me like a truck! Lying awake at night, not being able to think about anything else, wondering what I could do to put the deal back together – I found red wine helped me tremendously! Since then, we have grown significantly and I’m pleased to say I am sleeping much better! In our first year we were the fastest growing branch in the UK and we are now consistently one of the top performing branches in the entire network. My team has grown significantly and bring with them a wealth of experience and the hunger to continue being the top agent in the area. I married my wife Helen having met at my old employer. Helen and I have two young children, Harry and Florence and in my free time I love cooking (particularly Thai food) and I’m a keen fan of formula one.

  • Yeadon - Danny Spencer

    Daniel Spencer

    Branch Manager

I joined Dave at Hunters Yeadon in 2012 after he gave me my first opportunity in the industry, I had always done sales based roles but was keen to find a career rather than just another job, David gave me that opportunity. Since starting at Hunters Yeadon I have worked my way up from Sales negotiator to Office Manager and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. In my free time I enjoy spending time with girlfriend and son as well as watching Bradford City.

  • Yeadon - Kimberley Renaud

    Kimberley Renaud

    Sales Negotiator

I joined David and the team back in 2014 and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it! I am responsible for booking in viewings, valuations and negotiating sales. I have a good knowledge of the market and I’m always happy to help. When I’m not working, I enjoy shopping, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

  • Yeadon - James Hendry

    James Hendry

    Sales Negotiator

I began my career in estate agency after leaving college in 2014. After gaining valuable experience within the industry, I joined the team at Yeadon in 2016. My role is very varied from registering buyers to negotiating offers. I take pride in providing our customers with the results they need alongside great customer service. In my free time I enjoy cycling and taking up some of the stunning scenery Yorkshire has to offer.

  • Yeadon - Ross Fallenstein

    Ross Fallenstein

    Lettings Branch Manager

I joined David at Hunters Yeadon in June 2014 following several years at a corporate letting agent. Having worked with David before and after seeing his success running his own business, I jumped at the opportunity to join him at Hunters. I was recruited as the Lettings Branch Manager to focus on growing a lettings business that could offer unrivalled levels of customer service to local property owners. I enjoy all aspects of my job and every day is different, meeting with perspective landlords and discussing our many service options is by far the most enjoyable part. Away from work my hobbies include rugby, walking with my dog Hector and skiing.

  • Yeadon - Sue Wardman

    Sue Wardman

    Administration Manager

I have known David for many years and was one of his first members of staff when he opened. Often referred to as ‘his work mum’ I am responsible for putting together property particulars and drawing up memorandum of sale letters.

    Tom Vaughan

    Sales Negotiator

Since working for David, I have learnt a huge amount about running a successful Estate Agency, and how to deliver an exceptional service to all our clients. I was recruited as a Sales Negotiator back in 2019 and have really come to embrace the fast pace and challenging environment of selling houses. The role is highly demanding, but equally rewarding. Being there to hand someone the keys to their first home is a great moment. I would say my knowledge of the local market has grown immensely, along with my confidence in negotiating deals and getting the best price for our vendors! Outside of work, I love anything to do with cars, and spending time with my partner and our little dog, Riley!

Local area guide

Yeadon is a small market town located about 7 miles north-west of Leeds city centre between Guiseley and Horsforth. Yeadon offers a wide selection of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a supermarket. Primary and secondary schools in the area have excellent reputations, so much so that we find people moving around our area just to get into the catchment areas. These include Benton Park Secondary School, Rufford Park Primary, Rawdon St Peters Primary School, Westfield Junior School and St Peters and Paul’s School. To the north of Yeadon is the popular Yeadon Tarn which is great for sailing enthusiasts, fishing or even just for a walk with the dog.

The shopping centre of Yeadon is undoubtedly in the Yeadon High Street. The most prominent store being there is the local Morrisons supermarket. Along the high street, many stores are accessible to the public. These include video rental stores, shoe sellers, DIY stores, newsagents, travel agents, charity shops, clothing shops, pharmacies and green grocers - along with many more to list. Each Friday, the Yeadon Market is held in the Town Hall square; content of which changes every day, from watch markets, food markets, accessory markets, electronics markets and many clothing stands.

Yeadon is also well placed for transport routes in the form of the train stations in nearby Guiseley and Horsforth. Just to the south A65 which means the centre of Leeds is just a short drive away. The bus station in Yeadon provides access to Leeds, Cookridge, Otley, Harrogate, Bradford and many other locations around the region. Yeadon is probably most famous for its proximity to Leeds Bradford Airport. With various vantage points it is ideal for plane spotting, or alternatively it makes the sunshine just a bit more accessible!

Hunters Yeadon covers the area of Yeadon including the postcodes LS16, LS19 and LS20. If you are looking for properties to rent or houses for sale in these areas get in touch with our local Hunters Yeadon office today!
