Fishponds is three miles outside of Bristol city centre.

Fishponds is perfectly placed for commuters. There are plenty of local bus services into central Bristol, giving you easy access to Bristol Temple Meads station. Bristol Temple Meads has services to nearby towns and cities for regular commuting and connections all over the country. The M32 runs close to Fishponds, and the hugely popular Bristol to Bath cycle path runs close to Fishponds too, giving commuters the option of cycling or walking into the city centre. 

Fishponds Road acts as the area’s high street and has a good selection of independent stores such as a clothing store, bakers, barbers and more. There are also a few national names to be found, including bakeries, pharmacies and banks.

There’s a great selection of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and takeaways in Fishponds with an exciting range of cuisines. There’s even a micro-pub and a brewery too.

Fishponds has great amenities providing everything residents need. There’s GP services, pharmacies, a post office and a library, and the nearest hospital is just over a mile away. The area also has several well-known supermarket chains for your food shop.

Oldbury Court Estate is a large park with woodlands to explore and riverside paths taking walkers along the River Frome. You’ll end up at Snuff Mills, which is a lovely and historical site to explore in one direction. The park has a children’s play area with water and sand play, swings, a zip wire, rope bridge and more.

Nearby Eastville Park has a fishing lake, a children’s play area, tennis courts, and more. It’s also host to some large festivals that attract thousands of people to the area.

    Pascha joined us in February as a trainee negotiator and is steadily learning all the skills to be an estate agent. You will meet Pascha if you view one of our houses or if you pop into the branch to register your details. Pascha loves the colour pink and so she is unmissable when you meet her on viewings as she drives a pink fiat 500.

Fishponds is a suburban area approximately three miles outside of Bristol city centre.

Fishponds is ideally placed for commuters, whether travelling by bus, bike or car. There are plenty of local bus services into central Bristol, giving locals easy access to Bristol Temple Meads station. Bristol Temple Meads has services to nearby towns and cities for regular commuting and connections all over the country. The M32 runs close to Fishponds, making it easily accessible when travelling further afield by car, whether for work or pleasure. The hugely popular Bristol to Bath cycle path runs close to Fishponds too, giving commuters the option of cycling or walking into the city centre. 

There’s a wide choice of local schools, including independents such as Gracefield Preparatory School. One of the local primary schools is Fishponds Church of England Academy, which has an onsite nursery too, and Chester Park Infant School is another good option for young children. Bristol Metropolitan Academy is one of the local secondary schools within the local area.

Local independent stores include Polski Smak, Crown Cutz barbers, Egg Free Cake Box, and Pari Collection (a clothing shop). There are some national chains in the area, including Greggs, Boots and Superdrug, and banks. 

Fishponds Road acts as the area’s high street. It’s got a broad range of shops and services and coffee shops, traditional local pubs, independent restaurants, and takeaways. Porto Lounge is a great local vegan café bar. Everyday Thai Restaurant serves delicious Thai food in a relaxed environment. Grounded is a welcoming, family-friendly café bar with great food.

The Cross Hands Pub at the end of Fishponds high street and is a great local, with a cosy atmosphere. There’s some delicious food using quality, local produce, refreshing beers on tap, and board games to keep you entertained. You have to try the Sunday roast!

Snuffy Jack’s Ale House is a community-spirited micro-pub, and it won CAMRA Bristol & District's Pub of the Year 2020, making it well worth a visit. 

Fishponds has several local GP services, a post office, and a library. The nearest hospital is Cossham Hospital, just over a mile away, or Bristol Royal Infirmary is just a little further, in central Bristol.  Many big grocery store chains have set up in the Fishponds area, including Morrison’s, Aldi, Lidl, Co-operative and Sainsbury’s.

Fishponds has many local parks, including Oldbury Court Estate, a fantastic children’s play area with equipment for toddlers and older children. There are also woodlands and riverside paths that will take you to Snuff Mills, a great site to explore. 

Nearby Eastville Park has a large fishing lake,  children’s play area, bowling green and tennis courts. The park also hosts amazing festivals like Bristol Islamic Cultural Fayre, Tokyo World Festival, and Love Saves the Day. These exciting events bring thousands of visitors to the park. There are also regular sporting events for locals, including Parkrun, Junior Parkrun and Buggy Fit.
