Please may I take this opportunity to thank the staff at Hunters, Middlesbrough during the recent sale of our property. We had a bit of a rocky ride during the sale of our house which I'm told is common nowadays but David, Lisa, Holly and Ian were fantastic. They made the hiccups we encountered far less stressful during the sale of our house. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they remained professional at all times. They were also very understanding and had our best interests at heart. They put a lot of time and effort into their work and always made sure we were happy not pressured. We cannot praise the team enough. Thank you to them all once again.

Meet the team

    Ian Paterson

    Director

Having helped launch Hunters Teesside during the summer of 2010, I’ve seen it grow into arguably the best estate agents on Teesside. I’m lucky, I get to do the job that I love doing, helping people to sell property in the fantastic area of Acklam and Brookfield. I’ve been involved in the property industry since leaving school in 1988; and it hasn’t escaped my notice that that was a millennium ago. What that time has given me is the experience to know that selling property is so much more than a business transaction. We see people at the happiest times in their lives but we also meet them at their most testing times. I never forget that there’s a person and a story behind every house sale and every property purchase. I find that my degree in History gives me a perspective about the property industry – markets come and go but houses remain a solid investment and, more importantly, a place to make a home. If you’re selling your Middlesbrough home, we’d love to chat about how we can help get the best possible price. Did you know? “I missed Chelsea’s infamous first goal against Boro 43 seconds into the 1997 FA Cup final because I was still wiping my eyes and blowing my nose after blubbing my way through ‘Abide with Me’. It didn’t get much better after that…”

    Franchise Owner

Running an estate agency is hard work but exciting and every day brings fresh challenges, so it’s never a dull place to work. One of the best rewards when selling property is completion day when vendors and buyers receive the keys to their new home. I also love visiting people in their homes. You have to have a real passion for people and property to do this job well. I have a fantastic and knowledgeable team and we run a very busy, vibrant Sales Department here on Teesside. We’re all equally committed to helping you get the best possible price for your home or property. We also work closely with our Lettings team, local solicitors, mortgage advisors and surveyors, as we’re here to cater for all our customers’ needs, ensuring they receive convenient, all-under-one-roof customer service! Did you know? “A proud Teessider, Middlesbrough born and bred, one of my proudest moments was the day we first opened Hunters in June 2010. I remember listening to England play against Slovenia in the World Cup as I prepared the branch for its big opening. I knew our 1-0 win was a good sign!”

    Stacey Marie

    Valuer

Having worked in the property industry for more than 10 years, specialising in lettings for seven of those, I’m excited to now be turning my experience to the sales market. I’m passionate about helping people to find their dream home or ideal property, and I love that a large part of my role involves meeting people and offering best advice to clients on their future moves.” Did you know? “I enjoy the opportunity to help out with fundraising events, having raised money for Comic Relief, Children in Need and Naomi's House. Being a bit of a history nerd, in my spare-time I can often be found exploring Beamish Museum with my daughter.

  • Teesside - Leah Gray.jpg

    Leah Gray

    Sales Negotiator

A member of the Hunters team for many years, my role is to obtain as many details about the properties we have for sale across Teesside and match it up with the people who are looking to buy. It’s a little bit like a dating website - we look to find the right buyer for the right house and marry the two together! Having worked in a sales environment all of my working life, I enjoy the buzz of making a sale and enjoy the joy and relief of buyers and vendors when sales are agreed. Did you know? “I was previously a full-time Sales Negotiator but returned to work on a part-time basis after the birth of my son. I now enjoy the work/life balance I have, spending quality time with my son and some adult time when I come to work.”

    Laura Bashizadeh

    Sales Negotiator & Accompanied Viewer

Having joined Hunters in February 2016, I’ve already learned that no two days are the same. One day I may be in the office registering buyers and negotiating offers and the next I could be meeting and greeting people to show them around the homes we have for sale. As a people person, working with the public suits me down to the ground.” Did you know? “Having a job that keeps me on my feet is something I’m used to as an ex-cabin crew member with Virgin Atlantic. One of my proudest moments was receiving my wings, graduating after completing an intensive six-week training course with the airline.

  • Teesside - Georgina Evans.jpg

    Georgina Evans

    Lettings Manager

I run the Lettings Department here at Hunters Teesside. Having worked within the lettings industry since 2000, I couldn’t imagine any other career! As I enjoy a challenge, I love the fact the role is so varied and fast-paced. Whether you’re looking to rent a property or in the lettings business and needing property management services, I’m confident we can help make life much easier for you. My proudest achievement here at Hunters was the department being the top branch for lettings across the entire Hunters network of 177 branches for no fewer than three of the last four years – resulting in celebratory trips to Barcelona, New York and Las Vegas! Did you know? “In my spare time I enjoy walking my German Pointer, Hollie, and drinking mojitos (but not at the same time!)”

  • Teesside - Becky Wilkinson.jpg

    Becky Wilkinson

    Assistant Lettings Manager

I’ve been in my current role since 2014, having previously experienced a similar position with another lettings agency. My role includes managing numerous properties, setting up property viewings and valuations, arranging tenancies and ensuring all of our properties are up-to-date with current legislation. Like all the staff at Hunters Teesside, I’m absolutely committed to providing the best possible service for our landlords and tenants, dealing with any maintenance issues in an efficient and timely manner. Did you know? “They call it puppy love! I have a beautiful puppy at home called Luna. She’s a Malshi – that’s a cross between a Maltese and a Shih Tzu!
