Northfields is a nice little area in Ealing, and part of the city of London. Located a little further out from the centre of the capital, it is a suburban place, with more of a small-town feel about it. Northfields has its quirks. Some interesting little tidbits of history include the fact that it was home to Charles Blondin, a tightrope walker who crossed Niagara Falls.
Blondin Park and Blondin Avenue are both named after him.
Today, Northfields is filled with independent shops, restaurants, pubs and other establishments. Despite its close proximity to the big city - it retains a close community vibe. Perfect for anybody who prefers a bit of a quieter life.
