Sidcup’s in the borough of Bexley in south east London, and it’s about 11 miles from Charing Cross.
The area has excellent transport links. Sidcup train station and Welling train station are both within easy reach and provide access to London Bridge, Charing Cross, Cannon Street and London Victoria. Sidcup is in Travelcard zone 5, and the train station has services to Charing Cross and Cannon Street, as well as London Bridge, which can be reached in just over 20 minutes. Sidcup has the A20 running just south of it, providing access to central London using the A2, and the M25 is within easy reach too.
Families love Sidcup because there’s a lot of primary schools here as well as several secondary schools in and around the area. Sidcup’s also home to two well-known performing arts colleges.
There’s access to a great collection of local shops, which include independent stores and national brands. Sidcup has some unique stores including a ladies clothing store and a gift shop, so there’s always a chance to find something a little different. The area has several supermarkets to choose from, so it’s easy to pick up essentials throughout the week.
